A separate scholarship application for the Mind and Heart Academic Scholarship is not required. When you apply for admission to Whitworth University and meet the academic standards shown below, you are automatically considered for this award. Make note of these requirements: Must be enrolled at Whitworth full-time in 2012-13. Incoming freshman only. If you have earned college credits after high school graduation, you will not be considered for this scholarship. (Clarification: Running Start credits would not count as credits after high school.) Cumulative high-school GPA of 3.75 or higher AND SAT score of 2020* or higher or 30 or higher composite ACT *Based on combined highest scores for critical reading, math, and writing tests. Since 1890, Whitworth has held fast to its founding mission of providing "an education of mind and heart" through rigorous intellectual inquiry guided by dedicated Christian scholars. In all of these endeavors, the university seeks to advance its founder's mission of equipping students to "honor God, follow Christ and serve humanity."
