Compassion, life-long learning, hands-on patient care, and the recognition that nursing is an art, as well as a skill. These are the values instilled upon the graduates of the Tacoma General Hospital School of Nursing. And they are values kept alive through the Alumnae Association's Legacy Scholarship program. The nursing Alumnae Association created the Legacy Scholarship program to honor the school and its graduates and to preserve its history and values. The scholarships defray costs for nursing students in their final year of study.
