Description:
Sidney S. McIntyre, Sr. served his community as a school board member, city councilman and civic leader. his ingenuity and hard work built Skagit Steel & Iron Works, later known as Skagit Corporation, into on of the county's major employers. Sidney S. McIntyre, Sr. lived in Sedro-Woolley over 70 years. He died in 1972 at the age of 79. The Memorial Fund was created in his memory to help young people achieve a college education in order to serve their community.
